What\u2019s the new iOS 14 feature<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

This new feature is a picture-in-picture mode that already exists in Android smartphones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The picture-in-picture mode lets the users multitask, work on two apps simultaneously.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But there\u2019s one thing you can\u2019t do in Android that you\u2019ll be able to do with iOS 14.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can play the YouTube video in a small window in the corner of your mobile screen<\/strong>, while you are typing a text or scrolling through your Instagram feed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In other words, you can watch YouTube videos without having to stay in the app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here\u2019s the catch<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

You need a YouTube Premium subscription to use this feature. Also, it works only when you play the video through Safari.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When your iPhone is running on iOS 14 and you have the YouTube Premium subscription: play a video on YouTube on Safari, slide it down to a floating window, close the app, and the video will keep on playing in the floating window.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is because YouTube directly doesn\u2019t let users view videos in the background for more people to get the paid subscription.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
